Our Services
University Workshops
Closer to tests/exams we offer online group workshops for UCT and UP students. These workshops cover the content of the test/exam and as such the number of workshops depends on how much content needs to be covered. Each workshop is 3 hours long and facilitated by an experienced tutor.
High School Saturday Workshops
We offer Maths, Physical Science and Accounting Saturday workshops for grades 10 to 11. Each workshop is one hour per subject per Saturday. The content covered is in line with the schools curriculum. We ensure that by exam season learners are ready and well prepared for exams. Each workshop is engaging and interactive. The first 30 minutes are dedicated to teaching the concept, while the last 30 minutes is dedicated to learners being hands on with exercises, and may ask the tutor questions at any time.
Private One-on-One Tutoring
One-on-one Tutoring
We also cater for one-on-one tutoring. Our tutors are experienced and will tutor based on the learner’s/students’ demands. From tutorials, assignments, test and exam preparations, and content understanding, we cover it all, just let us know what your request is. Our tutors are patient and will cater for your specific needs, give you enough time, and attention, and challenge you to bring out the best in you.
Parents/Guardian involvement
Time spent in lectures in varsity, and classes at school are not enough to get your child to be an A student/learner. Most of your child’s time is spent at home. In addition to tutoring, we also believe personal investment by your child is key to their success. We thus also believe that it takes all these parties, including you as a parent/guardian to ensure that you get the best service from us for what you paid for. We thus include you in the process. We make constant feedback regarding your child’s progress. We follow up when exercises are not being completed before the next lessons. We would like you to be as engaging and involved as much as you can so that you have full transparency of Focustutors activities.
